Grand Feu enamel dial

On a white gold base, the dial is traditionally enamelled in-house, with water and a brush, using the Grand Feu firing technique - between 780 and 840°C.

On this model, the enamel is polished until it has a smooth, shiny surface, like a mirror.

A play of contrasts and finishes

Part of the Logical One Natural Titanium’s splendour lies in the refined contrasts between its finishes. The mainplate, mainspring barrel bridge and lower bridge for the constant force mechanism bear a deep anthracite ADLC finish, the balance bridge, escape wheel bridge and power reserve indicator bridge, enhanced with a bright palladium treatment, highlight the exceptional quality of their hand-finishing. The upper ‘bar’ bridge of the constant force mechanism, crafted in light-hued natural titanium, completes this contemporary visual harmony.

Natural titanium case

As for the titanium case, the lugs, bezel, caseback, pusher and time-setting crown are satin-finished, creating a gentle sheen that forms a fine counterpoint to the gleaming caseband, which has been highly polished.

Ergonomic winding pusher

A traditional crown is quite small with a fine, relatively fragile stem that has to transmit the force 90° from the crown to the mainspring barrel. Logical One’s pusher, on the other hand, efficiently transmits force to the barrel on the same plane. It also feels great to use and aesthetically complements the curves of the case.

Movement

With Logical One, Romain Gauthier has reinvented the chain-and-fusee − one of the oldest methods of supplying constant force to a horological movement − making it more reliable, more effective… and more constant. Gauthier’s invention contains an innovative snail cam connected to the mainspring barrel by a ruby-link chain. With the snail cam and mainspring barrel configured so they are ‘flat’, force is transmitted in a straight line for an ultra-efficient transfer of energy.
