    LOGICAL ONE SECRET

    LOGICAL ONE SECRET

    OPENING AND SHUTTING THE COVER

The cover of your Logical One Secret needs to be unlocked first before it can be opened.

To unlock the cover, press gently on the pusher at 4 o'clock on the caseband. This action will release the cover and it will lift up from the bezel slightly on its own.

Having un locked the cover, you may then open it to reveal the movement beneath.

Important: The cover hinge can open up to a maximum of just under 90°.

To shut and relock the cover, gently push the cover against the bezel, ensuring that the internal cover rim becomes secured by the tiny latch on the bezel at 4 o'clock. You should hear and feel a small clickthis means the cover is locked.

    WINDING

    1. Press the centre of the pusher to wind

    2. The chain will move up

    3. Avoid pressing on the edges of the pusher

Logical One Secret is a manual winding timepiece. To wind it, press the integrated caseband pusher fully in towards the case. Between pushes, release the pusher so it fully comes back out again.

Important: Press on the very centre of the pusher. Avoid pressing on the edges of the pusher.

    TIME SETTING

    1. Pull out the crown

    2. Turn clockwise or anticlockwise

The time is set on Logical One Secret using the small crown on the case band at 2 o'clock.

To set the time, gently pull out the crown and turn clockwise or anticlockwise to the correct time. When the correct time is set, push the crown back in towards the case.

Important: Do not pull the crown out if the watch is wet or in water.

    POWER RESERVE INDICATOR

    1. Mainspring barrel

    2. Power reserve indicator

The power reserve indicator is visible on the back of the movement and shows the state of wind of the mainspring from "OFF" (no power) to "POWER ON" to "FULL'' (46 hours of power reserve).

As you wind the watch via the caseband pusher, you can see the operation of the ratchet rack turning the mainspring barrel and the power reserve indicator hand moving towards "FULL''.

To go from "OFF" to "FULL'', no more than 65 pushes are required.

Given that the movement features a constant-force mechanism, the watch need not be fully wound for optimal timekeeping precision; the precision is constant at any state of wind.

Important: Always stop winding when the indicator reads "FULL".

    Power reserve minimum.

    Power reserve maximum.

    Reading power reserve dial side.
In addition to the power reserve indicator on the back of the watch, the approximate power reserve can be seen at a glance on the dial side by the position of the snail cam (to the left of the hourminutes subdial) and chain.

When the small step in the snail cam is at 9 o'clock the power is at zero (power reserve minimum) and your watch requires winding to start working.

Important: Stop winding Logical One Secret when the chain has circled the small step in the cam (power reserve maximum).

    CARE AND SERVICE

    Water resistance
Your Logical One is water resistant to a static 30 metres/100ft. However, vigorous swimming and diving should be avoided as moisture may be forced past the water-resistant seals.

    Maintenance
Your Logical One has taken years to design, months to create the components for it, weeks to finish by hand and days to assemble and regulate. With care, it will last many generations.
Before delivery, it has been checked and tested to the highest standards. For a description of these tests and for a list of our tips for looking after your timepiece, please  click here.

    Service
We recommend sending your Logical One back to Manufacture Romain Gauthier for service at least once every three years. Your nearest authorised Romain Gauthier retailer can help you to do this. You can also contact us.
A service sees your timepiece returned to the expert Romain Gauthier watchmaker who originally assembled and regulated it, ensuring continuity and quality. For full details of what a service enta ils, please visit romaingauthier.com/owners.
When returning your watch for service, to ensure safe shipping we suggest putting the timepiece in the plastic 'membrane' case that came with the watch, then placing this plastic case in a sizeable cardboard box with protective polystyrene filling.
